    1. Use GoodReads … log your read books, and Goodreads will give suggestions … or, try ChatGPT … also a great source for recommendations.

    2. Shirley Jackson. Try “We Have Always Lived in the Castle” which many consider her non-short story masterpiece.

    3. Swan Song – Robert McCammon

From the Corner of His Eye – Dean Koontz

      Joyland – Stephen King

    4. Our tastes are similar, this is an impressive list!

If you haven’t read any of his work check out Adrian Tchiakovsky. If you haven’t read anything of his start with Children of Time , if you like it you have Children of Ruin and Children of Memory, The Architect Series, countless standalones, and his fantasy series that starts with City of Last Chances.

I plan on reading King Sorrow by Joe Hill this year.

I just finished the first DCC book and Im’ looking forward to the rest!

    5. My fav books from 2025 are these… See if anything feels good to your taste…
      – When Death Gives You Lemons, by Alice G. Brooks – A cute, beautiful urban queer fantasy written about pain, punishment and death. It’s also often philosophical, and comforting and heartwarming.
      – Bailing Out, by Leonard Ruhl – A crime thriller built around a drug cartel in the US. This was the first book in a long time that actually had some action and thrill. Totally fast-paced and “cinematic.”
      – Sweets and Sycamores, by Arianne Nicks – A cosy, charming witchy rom-com built around a late-blooming witch and a grumpy-but-sweet baker. There’s even a goofy baby dragon. I loved how cheeky and chirpy the writing is.
      – The Trees Sing, by Rishikesh Lokapure – A heartfelt collection of nine short stories about the beauty of simple everyday moments. I fell in love with not only the stories but the book itself, with its cute illustrations, beautiful font, and colouring pages.
      – My Friends, by Fredrik Backman – A story about friendship, memories and stories of childhood. Hilarious and heartbreaking all at once. It can remind you of your own younger self. Your own friends.
      – The Sundered Stars, by H.E. Bauman – A science fiction/fantasy romance revolving around a seasoned bounty hunter and a space army commander. Loved this action-packed adventure with space travel and galactic wars.
      – Minor Detail, by Adania Shibli – A short novella of time around the war between Israel and Palestine. Not sure why I liked it, but what I remember is that it was heartbreaking.
      – Blackthorn, by Emily Eve – A romantic fantasy adventure story about a young and brutal assassin. The book has magic, it has cosy drama, and lot of unexpected twists.
      – Little Coffee Shop of Kabul, by Deborah Rodriguez – A heartwarming novel set in a small cafe in Kabul, Afghanistan. It’s like a view of Kabul for women from inside a coffeehouse. It provides you a heartbreaking glimpse into the war-torn Afghan culture.

    6. Oh dude you didn’t read the sequel to Mickey 7?? It’s called Antimatter Blues and it is EXCELLENT
