I love dark, spooky, otherworldly, and Lovecraftian elements within the fantasy, sci-fi, or horror genres. Bonus points for witty dialogue, dark academia, and necromancy!
A few other novels I’ve read this year that I think are stylistic matches in one way or another:
– The Fisherman;
– King Sorrow;
– The Daughter’s War/ Blacktongue Thief; and
– (to a lesser extent) The Secret History.
I prefer novels to a series, but I’m open to both suggestions!
