Hey everybody, I am about to finish Patti Smith's "Just Kids" and I want to stay in someone else's head for a little bit longer. I'm looking for a memoir by someone that observes the culture of a certain space or time (New York in the 70s, California in the 80s, Rock and Roll in the 60s something like that). I love Joan Didion's style and have read nearly all her work. "Just Kids" gave me a similar feeling. I've read some Eve Babitz and am aware of her books, so please recommend something else if you can. Thanks a ton!
