Hi, I am black and looking for a book that is about black people or has a black mc that has NO trauma in it relating to being black. I want a book about black people that doesn't have to do with racism or oppression but for some reason this is really hard to find 💔

I wish I had a recommendation for you.
I feel this way sometimes about media for gay people, like can I not just have a nice story about a gay couple that doesn’t involve hate crimes and trauma and struggling, like I’ve experienced it enough, can the happy parts of my life represented too?
Idealistic portrayals of the future in literature can be really useful for social change too. Like so we have something to strive for not just work against. I’ve just latched onto the Star Trek future personally.
