I bounced off an old book from the '70s because I couldn't keep track of the absolutely crazy names the author used for characters (14 letters, accent marks, etc.) all delivered very quickly and in close proximity to one another.
Recently, I began watching a Youtube video about Malazan and have a keen interest in delving into that madness. However, given what I've heard about it and the insane number of POV characters, I'm wondering if getting a little help wouldn't be a bad idea.
As someone who exclusively takes notes on a PC, I thought I would ask here (since 400+ karma is apparently not enough to post in the elitist r/books sub) if anyone has any good programs or websites that I can use to take notes as I read and maybe build a relationship web or any other useful features for reading character-dense books.
I'm familiar with the basics, such as OneNote, I'm just wondering if anyone uses anything made specifically for keeping track of reading notes, characters, etc. (something I've never needed to do before but I think I may in the near future).
