Hello hello! I'm trying to find some absurdist or surrealist sci-fi or fantasy novels. I'm definitely looking for the kind of absurdist / surrealist vibe that "Fantastic Planet" (1973) has. I love a good apocalypse or dystopia, and some of my favourite media are: Fallout series, Dune (book and movie), Game of Thrones (book and show), Godzilla, The Raven Cycle, The Legend of Drizzt, The Dark Crystal, The Labyrinth.
In general, I tend to enjoy books that are single or dual pov, have a male central character, queer characters, and have very little central romance (e.g. romance can happen, but shouldn't be a central theme). my ONLY REQUIREMENT is that it's third person. i hate hate hate HATE first person and will DNF a book that's first person.

Dungeon Crawler Carl (at least google says 3rd person, I can’t remember as I don’t pay attention to perspective like that) – it’s for sure absurd and a wild ride.
The Whispering Delulu is a fast pace psychological sci-fi thriller narrated by third person that may intrigue you. It has an insane plot and pace is super fast. Highly recommended for the sci-fi lovers
