Hi all!
I finished my final book of 2025 at 11:45pm last night (Heretical Fishing (3/5⭐️), to hit 46 books read out of my 30 book goal last year. Over the moon with that, but now I’m stumped for what to pick up next.
Now I’m really into the swing of reading again, I want to kick off 2026 with a new suggestion and found this sub. Favourite books of the last 12 months are:
– Dungeon Crawler Carl, Matt Dinniman (favourite series of 2025 for sure!)
– The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet, Becky Chambers (preferred book 1 to 2/3)
– The Way of Kings, Brandon Sanderson
– Mistborn, Brandon Sanderson
– Red Rising Saga, Pierce Brown
– Also enjoyed re-reading the Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan
I like fantasy / sci-fi, but things with a bit of humour or suspense always stand out to me too. I’m keen to find a new series or style of book that will kick off my 2026 in style (like the LitRPG of DCC took me by surprise!)
Really appreciate any/all suggestions & here’s to a great 2026!
