One of my new year's resolutions for this year is to only read new novels published by debut authors in 2026; I want to take more of a risk with what I read and support new writers if possible. Carson McCullers doesn't need any more of my money and JG Ballard doesn't need the exposure.
I know there might not be many released today, but I'd like to start as I mean to go on.
So, any recommendations or thoughts on writing published today? Ideally novels, literary fiction or maybe crime, but I'm pretty open to trying new things as well.

Today though? If you want to break your rule right off the bat, read last year’s Someone You Can Build a Nest In by John Wiswell
