So, while I was reading hp Lovecraft I found out about flash fictions and temperance fictions which i found interesting. Is there a way to learn more about literature in general without it being too dense or academic? Like while reading a story/book, I want to able to label it more precisely. I don't wanna limit my labeling to genres, well-known tropes, well-known themes.
Another things is I've tried to look for what counts as genres and what are considered subgenres. I see a lot of debates around it. I, myself have my own opinions as to what counts as a genre. Is there a more legitimate way to label them?
