I usually prefer to read ebooks but I got some Waterstones (book shop) vouchers for Christmas. Id like to use them for books that wouldn't read well on my Kindle eg books with pictures, maps, unusual layouts etc. Any suggestions? I read most genres but favourites are sci-fi, speculative and historical fiction. I love anything mind bendy or a bit weird but I already have House of Leaves!

    1. “JPod” by Douglas Copeland has some weird bits that would be better in print.

If you like Little House on the Prairie at all, the original manuscript “Pioneer Girl” was recently published and it’s much better as a book.

Nevernight trilogy by Jay Kristoff. Piling all the footnotes at the end of the chapters in ebook format ruins the comedy.

*The God of Small Things* by Arundhati Roy, but I think they’re all better as physical copies.

Witcher illustrated copy, Silmarillion cloth bound, Budge’s Egyptian Book of Dead, Decline and fall of Rome great books edition, Dune, almost any read….

I’m currently reading The Books of Jacob and that is definitely better physically.
