Hi, I (21f) need to pick a gift for my gay cis male friend who is turning 20 soon. We both are fond of reading and the gift needs to be a gay book. I am torn between Giovanni's room and Maurice. I have only read the former and I felt like he would resonate with the love-hate struggles of coming to terms with one's sexuality. I am not sure if the latter covers this theme as well.
Please help me choose a book out of the two. Actually, any alternate suggestions are welcome too. He is my junior at uni and he's like a little kid to me. He calls me "elder gay" and considers himself a "baby gay" because he would like to be as comfortable as I am, with my homosexuality. He is very much into history and politics (we both are Indians, but he is very interested in global geo-politics and history).
