Hi, first time posting here. I used to read before but then I got addicted to social media. I usually would read self help books. And rarely a book with a story. My addiction to internet have made me less articulate and severely reduced my attention span. I've heard reading will help with that. Plus I wanna read any way so…
I really liked Blood Meridian… So if there is anything like that recommend me. And hopefully something cheap as I can't afford some books in the market lol.
I love a very powerful villain… Like the Judge. I like stories where heroes may or may not win.
Ooh… I Liked Sherlock Holmes… when I read it way back….
I also like science fiction but I'm not sure if I would like it if I have to read it.
I have wondered about books by Brandon Sanderson. But I'm not sure if I would like fiction. His stories do seem epic… So that's interesting.
But other than that… Recommend me any books like blood meridian or in scifi or detective genre.

R. Scott Bakker’s the Darkness That Comes Before. It’s a fantasy blend of Blood Meridian and Dune.
Since you liked Sherlock Holmes, then check these out:
• The Woman in White (Wilkie Collins)
• The Moonstone (Wilkie Collins)
• The Innocence of Father Brown (GK Chesterton)
If you liked Blood Meridian, I’d recommend:
—The Crossing (my favorite Cormac McCarthy book)
—Moby-Dick (this was a *huge* influence on Blood Meridian)
—The Stand (also centers on a great “incarnation of evil” character)
—Lonesome Dove (the best “normal” Western I’ve ever read)
