I’m looking for a suspenseful story with intertwining storylines and narratives. Bonus points for a plot that stretches across decades/generations. Hoping for something a little more elevated than a beach read. (Love Lucy Foley but hoping for something more grim/serious.)
Looking to get lost in a story and stay up too late reading.

Heartwood by Amity Gage, although it’s not multigenerational. It had a similar feel.
Frozen River by Ariel Lawhorn, it’s more historical but felt similar.
All the Colors of the Dark by Chris Whittaker, it has suspense.
The Berry Pickers by Amanda Peters.
I really liked The God of the Woods, although it’s not my usual genre. Same as those above.
