Hi folks! I was hoping to find some historical fictions recommendations similar to Year of Wonders by Geraldine Brooks, Eleanore of Avignon by Elizabeth DeLozier, The Manningtree Witches and The Glutton by A. K. Blakemore, and the Marriage Portrait by Maggie O'Farrell.
TLDR: historical fiction set between the 1300 to 1700s that is well written and plot driven (I'm not a fan of super romance heavy books where that's the main subject).
Similar books that I have also read and enjoyed but were more historical fantasy include The Stone Witch of Florence by Anna Rasche and The Familiar by Leigh Bardugo – open to historical fantasy as well! Really just have a preference for the time period mentioned above; aside from that I'm down for anything
It would be extra cool if they were related to the plague, but not a requirement! I currently do have several books by Karen Maitland requested from my local library so these have already been considered (I need the books to be available on my Libby's library system as I'm a broke med student 🙁 which limits things a tad)
