    Looking for a book:

    * set, at least partially, during the winter time or in a snowy landscape. Christmas can be a part of it but not looking for a Christmas Book. Preferably most or all of it would be set during winter but I know that might be tough to find

    * that feels cosy and comforting to read

    * with pretty simple language, an easy read

    * in one of the following genres: contemporary, historical, chick lit, children’s classics

Some I imagine people might suggest that I’ve already read and don’t feel like re-reading right now: Little Women, Bridget Jones’s Diary, Prudence by Jilly Cooper

    Thank you!

oh The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden might be perfect for you! its set in medieval Russia with lots of snow and winter atmosphere, pretty easy to read and has that fairy tale cozy feeling even though some parts are a bit dark. Also maybe The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey – 1920s Alaska, very quiet and atmospheric winter vibes, reads almost like a fable but still grounded enough that it doesn’t feel too fantastical

Not super cozy but has cozy moments… I just finished The Frozen River and really enjoyed it.
