Looking for books that aren't too difficult of a read and are at least somewhat accessible for a casual read. I'm trying to get back into the habit of reading, especially as I am studying history at university. As of current I am reading The Shortest History of the Roman Empire by Ross King and am enjoying how approachable it is. Any and all recommendations welcome.

*Rubicon* and *Dynasty* by Tom Holland are great for the birth of and early Roman imperial period.
*Cleopatra: Last Queen of Egypt* by Joyce Tyldelsey is really good. for a comprehensive overview of her life and bias that exists surrounding her.
I very much enjoyed *Alexander the Great* by Robin Lane Fox.
If you are interested in the mythology of ancient times, Stephen Fry has a fantastic series that is really easy to read and contains all your basics starting with *Mythos*.
