I love the Cocoa Beach Cottage series by Cecelia Scott and I've read some other beach summer romance stories, but I tend to find most of them are divorced based, which is fine! or even singles who end up going to the beach for one reason or another and finding love, which is also fine!

But I was hoping to read something with a ride or die couple (There was one in Cocoa Beach and I loved them, they reminded me of my marriage) and I have had a hard time finding something along those lines. I know that it probably isn't as popular as the other two genres I listed but I thought I might ask just in case.

    Otherwise beach summer recommendations please.

I really like Emily Henry’s romances, she has at least one that’s on a beach, though most of them aren’t. Her couples usually have a bit of a enemies to lovers type situation, the dialogue and the banter is really good, any physicality is in keeping to how those characters would act, they don’t suddenly switch over to weird cringy sexy talk. Of course there’s the usual smatterings of misunderstandings, but her couples make sense. It’s not like they saw each other and thought each other was hot and that’s really all there is to it. They usually have some deep principles and lifestyles that match with each other so it feels a little more substantial.

So far she’s the best of the I guess chic-lit category that I have read.
