For context, we're both "the elder sibling" and despite our young siblings moving on in life with ease, we still struggle with letting go the "responsibility" of taking care of things back home, and not letting our divorced and widowed mothers alone (which is making us do long distance for now), leaving us in a tricky position.

At this point we're both looking for some type of encouragement😅 so we would like to read books that both make us question things in our life/careers but also guide or support us as we navigate our late 20's, we both enjoy philosophy and learning about the human brain, so it would be great if you knew of any stories that could help us with it.

    Thanks in advance🫂

Dude “The Midnight Library” by Matt Haig might be perfect for you two – it’s all about life choices and what-ifs without being too heavy, plus it’s a quick read so you can actually discuss it without one of you falling behind

Also maybe check out “Educated” by Tara Westover since it deals with family obligations vs personal growth in a really raw way

    2. Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents by Lindsay Gibson

The Body Keeps the Score by Bessel van der Kolk
