I've seen plenty of posts covering popular books that people don't like. But what are some hated or underrated books you absolutely loved?
Some of my most recent favorite books were rated in the mid-3s on Goodreads. I want to explore other books that I might have not considered otherwise due to their low rating. I also have loved some books with under 100 reviews, and I want to see what hidden gems exist.

I really like Horror Movie by Paul Tremblay, which only has 3.26 on GoodReads. I think most reviewers were completely unprepared to be reading a piece of well-executed, layered metafiction and were just expecting your classic creeper.
Probably drilled to death already but Lolita, it has a really unique and poetic style that isn’t at all over bearing. I can see past the motives of the narrator but the recent Epstein stuff does leave a bit of a bad taste in the mouth.
