I really like poetry. But what I love more is poetry that is told as a story. I like poetry that uses a lot of imagery and emotion to convey what is written.

I am honestly not picky when it comes to this. But I do like the tragedy based ones more than others😭

Can have trigger warnings as well.

Any recs are appreciated!!! Thank you:3

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo has some really beautiful prose that borders on poetic, especially when describing old Hollywood glamour and heartbreak

If you want something heavier, try The Song of Achilles – it’s gut-wrenching and the writing is absolutely gorgeous

    2. 100 Years of Solitude has some of the best prose I’ve read. Just beautiful sentence after beautiful sentence for 400+ pages. The content of the novel is pretty dark though: the characters commit every degenerate act known to man (I’m being hyperbolic but not that far off)
