I was on my regular hunt for a book from middle school I vaguely remember and I came across this book.

"What Lucy Heard (A pip inc. Mystery)" by Nancy Lynn Jarvis
There's a cyber truck on the cover and that immediately upset me.
To give the book and the author a chance I looked up the connection in the book
The murderer drives the car.
Now I don't know if the car being linked to that person is supposed to be a way to paint the person as bad or something else that isn't mentioned in the article I read.+
But the article states that the author chose this car because she listens to talk radio while she writes.
I picked a Cybertruck not only because it’s quiet but also because that vehicle was so prominent in the news in the days of Elon Musk.
This book was published just last year.
I definitely don't want to buy a book with a cyber truck on the cover and I am side eyeing the author because I'd assume they're informed since they listen to talk radio and choosing to include the swasticar anyway

I bet the last line of this book is “would you like me to make any changes?”. Def has ai written all over it
I mean, even ignoring the cybertruck, this cover is amateurish at best and looks like the poster for a student film at worst.
Covers are literally designed to be judged. They are meant to be the first impression. Maybe second after the title itself. Judge books by their covers.
Hey jarvis i’m low on creativity write that book for me
I’ve never heard of this book before, but this seems like a silly reason to dislike it. Do you also judge, say, *The Man in the High Castle* by Philip K. Dick for having a literal swastika on its cover?
The cybertruck is the most offensive thing about this cover? Right. Everything about the cover tells me this book looks like it’s going to be trash. Very, “graphic design is my passion.”
