Hi!! My best friend and I (like many others I’m sure) are wanting to read more books in 2026 and thought it would be great to do a little unofficial book club to stay motivated. Was hoping to get some recommendations for crowd pleasers- we all loved reading in middle school- books like Percy Jackson, Hunger Games, etc. Throughout high school we all slowly stopped reading and haven’t made much time for it in our adult lives- I was proud of myself for reading 7 books in 2025! We haven’t read many of the classics- she was homeschooled and I regretfully used sparknotes for the majority of high school so I didn’t retain the plot for those. I love the historical fiction genre- Four Winds by Kristin Hannah was my favorite read last year. My friend loves sci-fi, which I could get behind, I personally just don’t really enjoy fantasy anymore if I could avoid that genre a bit. I’m currently reading nineteen minutes as it was gifted to me for Christmas and I am enjoying it so far. Thanks so much in advance!!
