My library is having a bingo game this winter and one of the squares is “Read a book set in winter with a black and/or indigenous character. I want to try that one but don’t know how I would even look up examples, so I’m hoping you all have some!

The Firekeeper’s Daughter might work. I believe part of the book is set in winter. The main character is Native American.
I kind of love Tamora Pierce’s Cold Fire for this but it’s part of a YA fantasy series. But the protagonist is black and the winter setting is very prominent.
Moon of the Crusted Snow has almost all indigenous characters.
The Buffalo Hunter Hunter. Not for the faint of heart, but a brilliant read. It takes place over multiple years and seasons, but winter features heavily.
