My library is having a bingo game this winter and one of the squares is “Read a book set in winter with a black and/or indigenous character. I want to try that one but don’t know how I would even look up examples, so I’m hoping you all have some!

The Firekeeper’s Daughter might work. I believe part of the book is set in winter. The main character is Native American.

    2. I kind of love Tamora Pierce’s Cold Fire for this but it’s part of a YA fantasy series. But the protagonist is black and the winter setting is very prominent.

The Buffalo Hunter Hunter. Not for the faint of heart, but a brilliant read. It takes place over multiple years and seasons, but winter features heavily.
