I’m a year 1 medical student and I’m quite ambitious, because of this I am left feeling unsatisfied and very unhappy with my semester’s performance, despite it being really good. I currently have a 3.5 GPA and it’s tanking my self esteem by a large margin.
I often found myself struggling to muster up the courage to face hard tasks during the semester, as I told myself from the very first encounter that I’m not good enough, or this is too difficult for me to learn and it resulted in me not being adequately prepared for my exams.
I’d like a book that can just help me instill belief in myself and actually believe that I’m good enough

Dude a 3.5 in med school is actually solid, you’re being way too hard on yourself
Check out “Mindset” by Carol Dweck – it’s all about switching from “I’m not smart enough” to “I haven’t learned this YET” and honestly changed how I approach difficult stuff. Also maybe “The Confidence Code” if you want something more focused on building that inner voice up instead of tearing it down
