Doesn’t have to be a mystery. Just looking for something super absurd and campy while vintage-like (ideally without traditional values). Cutesy small northern town with the occasional ball where characters lead crazy lives. Something overall wild yet positive in general, almost like escapism/inspiration for how to make where I live less boring lol

Twin Peaks vibes but in book form? Try *The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo* or maybe *The Invisible Bridge* – both have that dramatic small town energy where everyone’s got secrets and the local diner probably serves pie with a side of scandal
