My mom had a stroke and can't speak or move at the moment. I live overseas now, so every day I send her a voice message including a short passage.
I had been reading chapters from John Green's "The Anthropocene Reviewed", specifically the ones that had messages about hope.
I've reached the end, and am looking for another similar collection of short stories with messages of hope, but are still engaging and interesting, not saccharine or boring.
Amy suggestions would be helpful!
Thanks in advance.

I dont know if the stories all need to be about hope. It could get boring if its constant. What books and genres did she like before? Those might inspire you instead of your own preferences.
