Books I’ve already read: Trust, Yellowface, Shark Heart, Sense of Wonder, Brokeback Mountain, 1984, The Handmaid’s Tale, Lolita. All of these except Trust and Shark Heart were for college, so these don’t necessarily reflect my tastes. Books released more recently (from 2000 onwards) are preferred.

Hmm …. well, if you want to kind of ease yourself into an in-between space, start with Bradbury! I can’t think of anything of his that’s not enjoyable.
I’m reading Ratner’s Star by Don DeLillo which is literary science fiction, it’s also very funny.
Matt Ruff, Fool on the Hill
Dante’s Inferno followed by the others two
Shakespeare’s The Tempest
Louisa May Alcott Little Women
Suzanne Collins The Hunger Games
Emily St John Mandel Station Eleven, this is scifi but also a natl book award finalist in the US
Kate Chopin The Awakening
Honestly? *Anna Karenina* is just really fucking good.
