hi all! i collaborate with a local public school teacher to facilitate a book discussion group in our library and we’re looking for a spring pick! our interest is in picking books that promote discussion of what kind of future we are facing and would like to have. previous picks were 1984 and parable of the sower, and we’re wondering if we should go off the sci-fi track? i’m considering sticking with what’s considered classics (i’m thinking about grapes of wrath) but we’re also toying with nonfiction. our last discussions were awesome, and drew readers of all ages and political/religious views, and was very respectful and thoughtful. any ideas for future selections?
