Hi there!
I'm currently reading Wild Swans – Three Daughters of China by Chang Jung. I'm finding what I'm enjoying most about it is reading a woman's account of her mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and what they each had to go through that brought the author to the present day. I have Pachinko as my next to-read, but wondering if anyone has any other suggestions in this vein (I understand this might be niche!)
Thank you!

Wild Swans is one of my favourite books! Just so you know, if you want more of exactly the same, Jung Chang has just released a sequel!! I can’t wait to read it
The Last Nomad, by Shugri Said Salh
Spring Moon by Bette Bao Lord.
The Covenant of Water by Abraham Verghese.
Where Rivers Part: A Story of My Mother’s Life by Kao Kalia Yang is heartbreaking and amazing.
