I'm struggling right now. I have no idea whether my life choices are right or wrong. Sometimes I feel like I'm doing everything wrong and I would end up nowhere. I need some books that can help me get through this phase and understand life and things in general. I need fictional stories only, even Fantasy would work

A Psalm for the Wild Built by Becky Chambers.

A solar-punk novella of a monk and a robot. It’s about where to go when you feel lost. About the constant desire to find purpose, about why nothing feels right when you supposedly have everything. What does it mean to be human? How can I find happiness? Where am I going?

      It’s a beautiful story.

    2. Since you mentioned fantasy, I really recommend Ursula le Guin’s Earthsea cycle, it’s very brilliant and very life-affirming and encouraging (without ever being particularly cheesy or even emotional, in fact her writing is always quite sparse and matter-of-fact but at the same time really deep and earnest and meaningful), it’s gotten me through quite a few tough spots. Also maybe If Cats Disappeared from the World by Genki Kawamura? Or if you’re up for something more ‘esoteric’, Hermann Hesse’s Siddhartha.

You Should Be So Lucky by Cat Sebastian is very much about finding community. It has thoughtful things to say about death and dying too. It’s funny and warm.

    4. Days at the Morisaki Bookshop by Satoshi Yagisawa is a short one that might fit the bill. The protagonist is going through something similar and finds joy, hope and purpose.

    5. Absolutely cannot recommend this book enough, do your self a favor and read “The hitchhikers guide to the galaxy” it will be exactly what your looking for I promise you that (if you want free access to the book Libby app has both the audiobooks and the reading material)

      Siddhartha by Herman Hesse

Don’t judge it by its title, it will oddly be the right book.
