I finally finished my first ever book. It took one month and it was it ends with us by Colleen Hoover personally I know she’s a questionable author but I found it was an easy read which is something I’ve been looking for as I have dyslexia but also it was something where I could consistently read one chapter a day without it being too big of a commit commitment and I finally finished it after a month!

This was my first book so I was super excited, but now I’m not sure what to read. I don’t think I can go into advanced books so I think I need to stay with young fiction or teenage books. Because my reading level is quite low for my age does anyone have any good recommendations for my second book preferably something low cost because I also need to buy a physical book as I find it hard to read off the screen and libraries on ideal because you can only rent them out for two weeks at a time.

Congrats on finishing your first book! That’s honestly such a huge accomplishment and you should be proud

For cheap physical books I’d def check out thrift stores or used bookstores – you can usually find stuff for like $2-3. Also fb marketplace sometimes has people selling books in bulk for super cheap. For easy reads maybe try some John Green books or something like The Perks of Being a Wallflower

    2. I don’t have a book suggestion for you, but I’ll pass along this tip. Reportedly, some fonts make reading easier for people with dyslexia.

To take advantage of this you’d need an ereader that allows you to set the font. I use the Kindle app on my Android phone, and it has the OpenDyslexic font.
