I only either read philosophy (favorite authors are plato, Kant, Hegel, nietzche, and Camus.) or manga. A lot of my friends tell me that I’m boring for this (they don’t see the value in philosophy) and that I need to read more fiction. Every time I try it’s just so boring and I have trouble reading and paying attention (I’m basically illiterate). Only fiction I’ve ever enjoyed was blood meridian. TLDR: I only read philosophy and need to branch out

Your friends are boring – philosophy & manga rule.
There’s A LOT of “philosophical fiction” out there. My favorite Camus works are fiction. Steinbeck & Wilde come to mind for “classics.” There’s also a lot of great dystopian fiction that’s very philosophical which might be up your street: Bradbury, Orwell, Huxley, etc. Have fun!
