Hello!! I am trying to disconnect from my phone at night and wind down with a book instead. I will be honest, I am terrible at finding books to read. I never know really WHAT to look for, and half of the results I get are underwhelming BookTok suggestions…
I have loved the following books:
1984/Animal Farm – George Orwell
Will Cats Eat my Eyeballs/From Here to Eternity – Caitlin Doughty
Brave New World – Aldous Huxley
All That Remains and Written in Bone – Sue Black
Dark Matter – Blake Crouch
You Will Die: the Burden of Modern Taboos – Robert Arthur
I have read more than above, but are the only things I can think off the top of my head at the moment.. I gravitate towards dystopian, science-related books. I am not scared of non-fiction, in fact, I find myself reading more non-fiction than fiction lately. I also love books that may have more 'taboo' topics, i.e. the books listed above. I don't mind a bit of romance either.
At the end of the day, I really am looking for ANY suggestions. They don't necessarily have to be related to my interests as I am okay with expanding my horizons! I just thought it may be helpful 🙂
Thanks in advance!
