I have been in a haze the last few years and lost my love for reading. Finding it hard to get back into.

Genres I don’t enjoy reading/ don’t want recommended: Sci-fi, fantasy, biographies.
I do like romance, the kind like Haunting Adeline, but I think it’s better for me to not read romance lol. I really like psychological horror. I like being able to inject myself into the main character or others. I like darker, taboo things. Something very gripping and vivid. I’d love to get into classic literature and stuck on either 1. East of Eden or 2. The Picture of Dorian Gray. So I guess I’m looking for a book that is very immersive and gripping centering psychological horror or something. Thank you so much in advance.
