Books about female friendship ending

I’ve been going through a rough time with my best friend on some deep, personal levels, and I’m looking for book recommendations that explore adult female friendship – ideally between best friends – who are tested by major life choices or obstacles.

I’m especially interested in stories where the friendship fractures or breaks completely. The characters could reconcile years later or the friendship could end permanently – either ending is fine. Ty!
