I'm writing a screenplay about a small town falling apart bar. I'm fascinated about the small town life, the fictionalized cozy feel, the realistic, brutal truths, and everything in between, which is where life usually lies. I'm mostly trying to find some character traits and types for my screenplay, as I'm blanking on what to do with two major characters. Any books about small town life that you thought were really good? I'm a book fan first, so don't worry if it's not EXACTLY what I'm looking for, any books about small towns will do!
