I just finished Serial Killer Support Group by Saratoga Schaefer and absolutely loved it (I read it in like 4 days) and now I neeeeeed more like it. I'm very excited for the next 3 books the author is publishing this year but I need a fix now lol. I've read most of Holly Jacksons' work already (Not Quite Dead Yet and Five Survive being all time faves) and The Mary Shelley Club is also along the vibes I like as well. Basically just any good gritty murder mysteries with maybe a subplot of romance. I'm also unfortunately a sucker for stories where the MC unknowingly dates the villain and then her whole world implodes when she finds out. I've been branching into more twisted storylines too, but I DNF Butcher and Blackbird and might not ever 💀

Oof sounds like you need some Riley Sager in your life – Final Girls or The House Across the Lake might hit that sweet spot. Also maybe check out None of This is True by Lisa Jewell, it’s got that whole “everything you thought you knew is wrong” vibe that destroys your soul in the best way
