Hey folks, planning to visit Italy later this year and love reading both fiction and nonfiction related to the places I plan to travel
I’m not particularly picky about the genre or specific setting of the book, but would love any recommendations for books about Italy, Italian culture, novels set in Italy or Italian cities, fun nonfiction works about Italian history or historical figures, etc. Casting a wide net here since I love to read!

„A room with a view“ comes to mind immediately. It’s a great classic.
The Leopard
Under The Tuscan Sun and Bella Tuscany
Highsmith- The Talented Mr. Ripley, Coarelli- Rome and Environs: An Archaeological Guide.
*My Brilliant Friend*. It starts off about the beginning of the 1950s but flips back and forth between about 60 years. It’s a series. Really great reading, IMO!
