I know about the story structure from some Japanese movies and TV (OK, anime), so I'd like to see it in print, but I'm not sure where to start.
I generally like character driven stories and SF&F. Some of my favorite writers are Vonnegut, Prachett, Joe Hill, Dianna Wynne Jones, Ursula K. Le Guin, and I loved This is How You Lose the Time War and Everything Everywhere All At Once. This was mostly inspired by Makoto Shinkai's Your Name.
I've read The Three Body Problem, but I didn't it enjoy as much as I had hoped.
