Hello!
I used to be a big reader, not super high numbers but always had a book on the go and would read multiple times a day (couldn't tell you how many I read a year as didn't count).
That fell off and I got addicted to gaming during covid. Like at least for 3-4 hours/day often more. When I'm not gaming, I'm watching twitch or YouTube gaming walkthroughs.
I now only listen to audiobooks (primarily fantasy) usually listening to a book a fortnight.
I just bought a Kobo and want to reduce my gaming habit (to only playing a few hours a week and preferably with friends). I want to have a list of great books to go through. I want to rewire my brain to slow down and replace my gaming addiction with a reading addiction. It will be tough so any advice will be appreciated as I have had gaming as my go to alone time activity for years now.
I'll list a few of my favourite books below to give an indication of what I like, although recently it has been 100% fantasy books. These are mostly books I've reread or have stayed with me, and I think about them often. Any help from the smart people on this thread will be much appreciated. I seem to like reading series looking at this list.
