I'm a junior in highschool wanting to read more. I have a list of books that I was looking into, and was wondering if they'd be good.
-Crime and Punishment
-White Nights
-The Picture for Dorian Gray
-The Count of Monte Cristo
-Frankenstein: The 1818 Text
I read books like 1984, Animal Farm, The Oddessey, Holes, Outsiders, The Alchemist, Macbeth, Romeo & Juliet and so on for school before, and I did like them quite a bit. I was mostly looking into reading more classics, but I'm open to anything really.

Solid list! Crime and Punishment might be a bit of a slog as your first Dostoevsky but it’s worth pushing through. The Count of Monte Cristo is long but super engaging – like the ultimate revenge story. I’d maybe start with Frankenstein or Picture of Dorian Gray since they’re shorter and will give you a good feel for whether you want to tackle the chunkier Russian novels
