For you true literary sloths and experts im going to make a recommendation and challenge. Try the book Silverlock by John Meyers Meyers. Its a literary puzzle. The challenge is to identify every literary character and where they are from. To me it seemed that almost every paragraph the book was a new puzzle. Goes from Gilgamesh to sometime in the 30s The characters come mostly from European and American authors but also some 8ndian and pre- Babylonian literary. Mythology from Celtic, Irish, Norse,Greek, Roman, Native American and others are included. I thought i did really well in identifying the characters and source material at about 30% but the more i looked at the more i realized how many things and people i missed starting with the name of the ship.
There is an annotated version which im going to get one of these days.
