Hi! I [M26] am looking for some book suggestions! This past year, I have gotten back into reading and have been thoroughly enjoying it. I’ve discovered a love for lighthearted, romantic Shōjo/Josei Manga with adult protagonists and some Fantasy titles thrown in here and there. I would like to find some novels with that same kind of cutesy, half-corny, comedic romance vibe with some caveats:
• I want the protagonists to be adults (Straight or LGBTQIA2S+ couples, I don’t care. Love is love)
• I would prefer something more lighthearted, not really interested in smut or anything like that
• Would prefer something somewhat relatable? Like nothing too outlandish? But idk surprise me
To help with the suggestions, here’s some basic info about me and what I’ve been reading:
• M26, straight (but an ally)
• Outdoorsy, Sporty country guy
• Loves cars, bikes, and adventuring
• Big Nintendo Fan (someone recommend Zelda-like fantasy novels PLEASE 🙏🙏🙏✨✨)
• Favourite books/series I’ve been reading recently have been A Sign of Affection, The Ice Guy and the Cool Girl, Perfect World, The Metalhead Next Door, The Legend of Zelda Manga series, Initial D, the list goes on…
Any help would be greatly appreciated!! I hope the short description of myself and my wants help paint some sort of picture of what I’m looking for. Any other suggestions about different genres are also welcome!! Thanks in advance, I really appreciate it.
