Looking for alternate history with strong female leads.
As an example, I loved Mary Robinette Kowal's Lady Astronaut series for the historically accurate setting (space race) but then a divergent event (asteroid strike) which changes things. I also loved that series because there were multiple plotlines running with different women in various roles.

It’s YA, but I’m a sucker for the American Royals series. It’s an alternate history where the Washingtons became a royal family, and this follows the modern-day American Royal Family. My boyfriend has a degree in revolutionary history so he loathes the concept as a whole, but I thought it was fun!!!
Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid or The Nightingale by Kristin Hanna
The Devils by Joe Abercrombie, for some dark, funny, character-driven fantasy set in an alternate history, medieval fantasy Europe.
Parasol Protectorate series. It’s steampunk Victorian with paranormals.
Island in the Sea of Time and its sequels by S.M. Stirling have varied and interesting strong women
