I like books like Trainspotting , Catch22 , & The Color Purple, which alternate around different connected characters and develop the world through their connections. It’s sort of like mini vignettes but in all 3 stories there is a clear (often morally ambiguous) central character that you’re rooting for. They also deal with dark themes and have some comedic relief. Any recommendations?
