Hiya, I'm setting myself reading goals in a journey to rediscover my love of reading because I went from spending half my free time buried in a book to reading maybe 1-5 books a year. Last year I set myself a specific goal of reading 52 books (I read 53 + some DNF)
This year I want to focus on discovery, branching out from the same genres I usually pick but I'm finding it a bit overwhelming, how to pick a good book from a genre I'm unfamiliar with?
So I want to know, if you could recommend any one book what would it be? without having to think about the person you are recommending it to, whether it fits their interest or they're the right audience for it. Maybe it's the one you hold so dear but never recommend in fear of the recipient not liking it or maybe it's the one you recommend to everyone or maybe it's the one you've been waiting to recommend but never found anyone interested in that genre.
I will add all recommendations to my list (whether I can source them might be another question though)
