I've been reading my way through the 7 Avatar novels lately, and the way the world is clearly modeled after east asian mythology felt very cool and fresh to me, even though I've watched the original cartoon as a child, so I'm looking for more fantasy books that have things I've never seen before.
Not necessarily looking for things similar to Avatar or YA.
