I finished Giovanni's Room a few weeks ago and cannot stop thinking about it. I love how clear and introspective James Baldwin's writing style is (this was the first Baldwin I'd ever read; all his others are on my TBR now). I liked the smaller cast, the strong focus on character, and the setting, but mainly the writing style.
In case it's helpful, I like the Song of Achilles and the Portrait of Dorian Gray (though no super strong feelings on them). Probably some others that I can't think of right now. Any recommendations would be appreciated!!!
