I recently completed Water Moon and A Dream of Trees. Loved them both and I think I’ve found my genre, although I can’t call it “Fantasy”. I’m a novice reader, trying to build a habit of reading. I’m not used to reading long novels, and as much as I enjoyed reading the last two books, it was too lengthy for me.
In a nutshell: Ghibli vibes, I think I enjoy Japanese culture and learnings (especially their love for trees and nature😭❤️), Samantha Sotto vibes (if that’s a thing), Fantasy/ Adventure/ Dreamy/ (??), 150-200 pages (250 is pushing it but okay). If this sounds vague, please feel free to call me out and lmk what else I can specify.
P.S Someone suggested Diana Wynn Jones, gave Howls Castle a try but since I had watched the movie, I couldn’t go beyond the first 2 chapters.
