I’m looking for a book set in a completely collapsed, lawless society (something in the vein of Mad Max).
Most stories in this genre focus on survivors trying to stay alive, and when antagonists appear, the narrative usually follows how the protagonists escape from them (like in The Road).
What I’m searching for is the opposite: a story told from the perspective of the “bad guys” in that world. A group that stalks, hunts, and psychologically torments lone survivors.
For those who watched 28 Years: The Bone Temple, I’m thinking of something similar to the Jimmy’s group.
